Jetpack 6.5 is now available for download. This is another general maintenance release and also addresses a security issue reported to us via HackerOne.
Here's the short list of what's new for this month:
Simple Payments security update
The security update relates to the Simple Payments widget. It's highly recommended that users of this widget update to Jetpack 6.5 as soon as possible.
Thank you, Simon Scannell of RIPS Technologies for responsibly disclosing the security vulnerability to us.
Lazy Images network usage improved
With this update, your site visitors will have an even faster experience scrolling through your images when you have Lazy Images active.
Site Verification settings interface removed from the Tools menu
We removed the settings interface previously found on the Tools menu, however you can still find them by visiting the Jetpack Admin Page settings.
WordAds improvements
We added a new setting letting you include custom entries on the ads.txt file. You can find this new setting on the Jetpack Admin Page settings under the Traffic tab.
Update to 6.5 today
As always, the full changelog has more details on this update. If you're ready to update your site, install Jetpack or update your existing installation right now.
