Buildings are radically transforming to become more connected and create smart environments. Today, building owners must think about wireless infrastructure and its ability to provide increased speed and greater intelligence, and enable devices beyond the ones utilized by people.

As bandwidth, capacity and connectivity requirements of today and tomorrow keep increasing, many large venues – high-rises, university campuses, stadiums and corporate campuses, for example – will need to rely on a distributed antenna system (DAS) to keep up with mobile connectivity demands. DAS technology provides wireless coverage with more reliability and reduced total power as compared to WiFi.

This webinar will explain what DAS is, how it works, ways it can complement existing WiFi networks, what kind of cabling and connectivity infrastructure is required to make DAS a reality and how it supports the people and devices that are constantly creating, streaming and sharing content.

After attending this webinar, integrators, contractors, facilities managers and IT professionals will be able to:

  1. Explain what DAS is and where it works best.
  2. Describe how DAS is different than WiFi, and identify which technologies are best for which applications.
  3. Understand the potential ROI on a DAS system.
  4. Pinpoint the characteristics needed in a cabling and connectivity system to support DAS.
