Most common digital marketer problems (and how to solve them), what a best-in-class virtual events team looks like, and how to use HubSpot with your WordPress website ...this is THE LATEST!

I remember the first time I heard Marcus Sheridan talk about how reflex-quick so many people are to say they're "different" as a means to "prove" that They Ask, You Answer won't work for them, their company, their industry, etc.

In that moment, my whole world view shifted.

Suddenly, everywhere I went, I saw people using that "unique snowflake escape hatch" routine as a deflector shield to new ideas or suggested methods, even in the face of certain failure.

Sometimes I even caught myself doing it. Ick.

But today, I realized something. There is one thing every single one of us has in common with each other — and our ideal buyers.

We all have problems. Are these problems unique to our circumstances, role, company, or industry? Heck yes!

For example, content managers have their own problems, which are different from digital marketer problems, and so on.

Or, if you're like me, you have one specific problem named Brian, who likes to toy with your emotions by putting punctuation outside an end quotation mark (like some sort of monster), which results in editorial exchanges like this:

brian-casey-is-a-monster

Like Happy Fun Ball, do not taunt me. ðŸ˜’

Still, the fact remains that we all have problems.

Lots of problems. Problems we are desperate to solve. Or (even better), problems we want to lay at the feet of someone else and say, "For the love of all that is holy, fix this mess for me. Tell me what to do!"

That's why "problems" is one of what we call The Big 5 — the five content topics that are proven to drive traffic, leads, and sales more than any other content topic out there.

Because, no matter what industry you're in or what your company sells, if you can focus like a laser on solving the most pressing problems of your ideal buyers in your content better than anyone else out there, you will be unstoppable. There will be no goal you can't crush.

And now, here's THE LATEST...

Currently, our director of community and events, Stephanie Baiocchi, has seven different virtual events on her work calendar to attend. That's because many companies are jumping on the virtual event bandwagon. Moreover, most are doing these virtual events for the first time — so they're not necessarily prepared to do them well. This includes not having the team necessary to run such an event without a hitch. In this jam-packed, battle-tested article, Stephanie shares the exact roles you need to have built out to throw a fantastic virtual event, along with exclusive insights from other industry insiders.

👉 "What does the HubSpot for WordPress plugin do, and how can we use it on our WordPress website?" (5-minute read)

Toward the end of 2013, WordPress and HubSpot met, fell in love, and produced a beautiful, bouncing baby integration/plugin called "HubSpot – CRM, Email Marketing, Live Chat, Forms & Analytics." Amazing name, right? Really rolls off the tongue. But is this plugin worth installing on your WordPress-powered business website? If so, how do you do it? In this article from one of my favorite humans, IMPACT developer Daniel Escardo, discover what the HubSpot for WordPress plugin is, how it can help you supercharge your business website, and how to start using it right now.

This was an actual Craigslist post from five years ago, but I only discovered it today — and I laughed at it for about 10 minutes straight.

It was a simpler time back then. View the full size if that text is too itty-bitty for you.

Have a great week!
