[THE LATEST] Inbound marketing mistakes that will cost you in 2021, Video Sales & Marketing World agenda for content managers and videographers, and Google My Business listing hijackings on the rise

Inbound marketing mistakes that will cost you in 2021, Video Sales & Marketing World agenda for content managers and videographers, and Google My Business listing hijackings on the rise ...this is THE LATEST!

🗞️ Extra, extra! Read all about it!

⚠️ We're less than a week from Video Sales & Marketing World, our exclusive, virtual event for digital marketers, business leaders, sales pros, and vidoegraphers! Do you have your tickets yet? Use promo code "VIDEOS" to get your ticket for only $45 (more than 50% off the standard ticket price!)

Me from a year ago would be baffled by me today.

I've spent the past three nights with IMPACT Director of Video Production Alex Winter at IMPACT HQ in New Haven having a total freaking blast filming creative segments and inspiring talks for next week's Video Sales & Marketing World...

Uh, let's just say we definitely pushed the creative limits further than we have before. You won't want to miss it. Either because it will be an amazing virtual event experience unlike any other... or um, you'll at least want to be able to say you were there the moment "Liz went over the edge."

Anyway, almost exactly this time one year ago, I was actively a fugitive hiding from Alex. Or, more specifically, I was hiding from his camera. Now, here I am... heading up our video program with Alex and filming at least three videos a week.

That's why I'm so excited about my talk on day one of #VSMW2020:

This was probably one of the most scary talks I've ever put together, because it's a topic that required me to go back to a memory I did not want to revisit. But after we wrapped filming on my talk tonight, I'll say it's probably one of the ones I'm the most proud of.

After one very traumatic video incident two years ago that left me devastated, I decided that video simply wasn't for me and no one would change my mind.

I was genuinely convinced there was something wrong with me, and I would never, ever be the person who had that special something that would allow me to feel comfortable in front of the camera.

What changed? Well, I'm going to be that annoying as heck gal and say you'll have to tune in and find out.

For now, however, I'll leave you with this. When it comes to content creation — both written and video — I've noticed so many of us spend a lot of time telling ourselves we can't do something before we even start. And almost every single time, we are completely wrong. Myself included.

But the moment we stop putting ourselves down and making choices from a place of fear, desperately clinging to what's safe... well, it's amazing what's possible.

Even with all of its clear benefits, many businesses resisted making the change to really embrace video in their digital sales and marketing, for a wide variety of reasons — discomfort in front of the camera, perceived high costs to get started, and so on.
