How to write website copy that isn't self-centered; honest They Ask, You Answer book reviews from real people; and WordPress launches business website development service ...this is THE LATEST!

🐿️ Extra, extra! Read all about it!

Today is Groundhog Day, ladies and germs.

groundhog-day

Us New Englanders have spent most of this week digging our cars out from under more than a foot of snow. So, we were in no way surprised when that fuzzy, hateful little bowling ball come to life betrayed us all by predicting that we'd be living through six more weeks of winter.

You know what is surprising, though?

I was today-years-old when I learned that it's estimated Phil Connors — the acerbic, goofy-looking weatherman who somehow ends up with Andi freakin' McDowell at the end Groundhog Day (?!?!) — spent 12,395 days (just short of 34 years) reliving February 2 over and over and over again.

Wild right?

Hopefully, it doesn't take you that long to realize the fastest way to turn off your ideal buyers is to talk about yourself in your website copy. Zing.😎

Yes, yes, I know. I have all the grace and subtlety of a drunk flamingo singing SOS by ABBA at a hotel karaoke bar at 10 a.m. on a Tuesday. But what I lack in seamless segue talents I make up for with my ability to list all 50 states in alphabetical order in under a minute.

And it didn't take me 12,395 days to learn that either.

🐿️ How to write swoon-worthy website copy without talking about yourself and how great you are (9-minute read)

Writing website copy is a content marketer's rite of passage. Somewhere between zen and panic — and the inevitable pile of sticky notes with coworkers' ideas of the ideal hero tagline — lies the truth. How do you do that, though? Well, IMPACT Content Marketing Trainer Jen Barrell is here to teach you exactly how you write captivating, converting website copy without talking about yourself.
