Hey, It's been a while. I won't give ye the full blow-by-blow but I've had a lot to deal with over the last couple of months. Short version: I'm living in France now? It had been a source of pride for me during the last couple of years - which have been very turbulent on the personal front - that I could keep this newsletter going regardless (...more or less). But the disruption caught up with me. I'm finally pulling clear of it, though, so I thought I'd fire out a short email to say: (a) I'm alive (b) I'm sorry for the radio silence, and (c) I'm not going anywhere. Well, except to France obviously. I've been plowing this self-publishing-marketing advice furrow for 14 years and I'm not remotely jaded with it - in case that was a worry either. There are still plenty of summits to peak, myths to shatter, and clowns to shank. I've several fun projects which have been on ice over the last few months. And I kinda left you hanging on some Facebook Ads stuff we were really getting into. All that is coming soon, along with some rather helpful email wotsits. While I can't give you a cast-iron pledge that I'll hit every Friday before I get fully set-up here, because there will be a bit of traveling and house hunting and red-tape wrangling... I can absolutely promise that any disruption is temporary. France! I'm here now. It's great. Je ne regrette rien. Dave. P.S. Writing music this week is Paris Paloma with It's Called: Freefall. |
