| Hey, I'm still sick, unfortunately, and I'll be back at the doctor later today – hopefully getting some answers on why this virus just won't shift, and why my energy levels remain hilariously low. On the plus side, I now understand the point of YouTube shorts; it's about the length of time I can focus right now! I haven't been able to work for a couple of weeks – and there'll be no email this Friday – but I just wanted to fire one out today to let you know about a deal that's running for the next few days only. DepositPhotos is back. Get 100 Stock Photo Credits for $49 @ AppSumo. Regular readers will know I'm a huge fan of DepositPhotos deal which only comes around twice a year. I use stock photos for all sorts of things: - Ad images
- Newsletter banners
- Book covers
- Social media
- Video teasers
- Reader magnets
- Facebook Page headers
- Website graphics
- Vision boards
- Book trailers
This is an affiliate deal – meaning I'll make some commission if you chose to purchase – but that doesn't affect the price you pay (indeed, this is the lowest price you'll find, anywhere). And that doesn't affect my recommendation (this is a deal I jump on myself regularly). DepositPhotos has been my No. 1 choice for stock photos for several years now because the selection is huge (over 300m images and video), fresh (5m more added every month) and easy to navigate (the search interface is quite intuitive). Plus, the licensing is very straightforward (short version: you are clear to use these images for all the uses described above). I also buy most of my software via AppSumo for several years now too because it's generally the best price you'll get (this is 84% off sticker price), they refund with no questions asked within 60 days (I've availed of this myself personally without issues), and the credits never expire so you can use them whenever it suits you. There are free sites out there if you have no budget for this kind of thing but be aware of the downsides. The selection will be much more limited, the search interface will probably be terrible (meaning you'll have a painful hunt for that needle in a haystack), the quality will generally be poorer, and, most importantly of all, you will have an uncertain situation around the rights of the images you are using. (Not saying you should never use free sites… just be very careful!) DepositPhotos takes all the hassle out of it, and gives you peace of mind on the rights side too – which is very important to me. It's also… fun? I vaguely remember what that is. Anyway, hope this deal is useful to you. I'll be back – one sincerely hopes – on Friday week with your regular programming. Until then… stay safe, pilgrim. Dave P.S. Music this week is The Velvet Underground with After Hours. |
