Conquering Writer's Block, Social Voting, & Prospects Who Haggle ...This Is THE LATEST!

Look, I'm a good citizen. I understand that voting this past Tuesday was important for our country and stuff.

But there's still an eensy weensy, tin-foil-hat-wearing part of me that's convinced the intersection of Election Day and social media is really just a big fat conspiracy perpetrated by a nefarious "I Voted!" sticker organized crime syndicate.

There's no evidence to back it up, I know. But there's no evidence to prove me wrong either. 🤐

Here's The Latest ...

What We Can Learn from Social Networks & the Midterm Election

While there may not be a conspiracy afoot, you can't deny that Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat did a fantastic job enabling users to create a social moment out of voting this past Tuesday. Our Head of Editorial Content Ramona Sukhraj provides her analysis of this year's "social election" for marketers in this article.

On the other hand, their price-haggling might be an indicator they're not the right fit for your agency. Should you let them walk away and go to the cheaper option? Jason Swenk says, "Maybe." Read Jason's article on how to handle the most common sales objection agencies face -- price.

OK, one last request before I get to work. I want you to reply to this email with your answer to this question:

What's the best piece of advice you've gotten for getting over writer's block?

Mine is from an English teacher. She said, "Write something -- anything -- down. Seriously, just one awful sentence that's marginally related to the topic. You'd be surprised how little you need to get over the blank screen hump."

No joke, her trick totally works.

I'll share my favorite answers from you all next week!
