Best 2020 digital marketing examples, Google Ads vs Facebook Ads, and building a world-class remote team ...this is THE LATEST!
🔥 Hot off the presses
💯 Do you want to stop feeling like you're wasting time and money with inbound marketing? Whether you're just getting started with inbound marketing or you're smashing the inbound reset button for a much needed fresh start with your strategy, this webinar on January 27 will get you on the right track toward crushing your most aggressive digital sales and marketing goals.
You know what's the most terrifying thing to see on Slack shortly after you smash the "send now" button on an email newsletter that is sent to tens of thousands of people?
"They're all just rushing to tell me how great I am... right?"
Many of the guiding principles at IMPACT are centered around big important concepts like always being rooted in self-awareness, valuing candor over comfort, and so on. It's one of the many, many reasons why I cherish where I work — because we are such a values-focused organization.
Still, there's always that head-on-desk moment when you screw something up and you realize to yourself:
"OK, it's my turn on the mat. To be candid. To be self-aware. To take ownership."
For instance, why were "several people typing" at me earlier this week?
Well, for the first time in 100+ issues over a 16-month period, y'all got an email that said it was from IMPACT Head of Editorial Content Ramona Sukhraj, but when you opened it up, it was actually from me. (And it was a very personal issue for me too. Oops.)
Anyway, I'm sorry about that, y'all!
The thing is, none of us can avoid making a mistake ever in our lives — particularly on the job. In fact, we will all continue to make mistakes, even when we have the best of intentions and the most robust QA processes in place.
We might unintentionally overlook SEO best practices in a website redesign. We may not know what we don't know about growing an agency from the ground up. We might be blogging for business newbies who fall into the same traps we all do when we're first getting started.
Or, you might be me — someone who made a silly mistake and has to declare in front of an entire group, "I know, I know! That's on me and no one else. There's no good reason for it. It was proofed and somehow still missed, and I'm sorry."
It's all about how you get back up on the horse, learn from your experience, and try again. So, let's start again, shall we?
Hi there! I'm Liz Moorehead, director of web and interactive content at IMPACT, and this is THE LATEST.
