Covid-19 Claims Another Aircraft Victim... 22 July 2020 British Airways Follows Others Iconic, much loved, instantly recognised, the B747 is probably the most photographed commercial aircraft of all time it's also probably the oldest aircraft model still flying which says a lot for it's everlasting appeal. British Airways decision to retire the aircraft two-years earlier than originally planned represents a pragmatic assessment of the aircrafts value in a new normal world of aviation.
