Sometimes I feel as if there are two different Lizzes inside my brain.

First, there's the impulsive, creative, "Let's set everything on fire and see what happens!" part of me. Just like being wrong, I can say with confidence that some of my greatest adventures, wildest loves, and most jaw-dropping payoffs have come from a willingness to jump into the void based on a passionate hunch that gnaws at me in the middle of the night.

(Also, fun fact, people who refuse to try something edgy and new every once in awhile — or get get hung up on reasons why something won't work, whenever a new idea is lobbed their way — drive me absolutely bonkers.)

Second, there's the logistics-obsessed part of me. That Liz lives for super detailed checklists and is always the decisive, resourceful planner for every vacation, move, or large event in my personal life.

No joke, give me any massive, scary "You're crazy, it can't be done!" goal — a big family holiday gathering with a crazy menu and 20+ people, a vacation with multiple destinations and/or layovers, or a complex event or move — and a deadline, and I'll have a top-to-bottom plan ready within 72 hours or less... along with all required reservations, vendors, and travel arrangements already booked, of course.

Logistics at that scale... swoon. It makes my heart happy to make others so happy with my mad planning skills. 😍

What I find funny, however, is how many people find those two parts of me to be seemingly mutually exclusive, when I don't feel that way at all. I don't think it's incongruous to be a willful, seemingly unpredictable risk-taker, who also can drum up a plan in a pinch for all of those crazy risks.

In fact, I firmly believe that there's no snap "Surely, you can't be serious!" decision that can't be made to seem feasible with a nice, orderly checklist.

Honestly, anything you can dream up — whether you're moving across the country, breaking up with someone and starting your life over, going on a crazy once-in-a-life-time adventure, or doing something more simple like migrating your marketing to HubSpot — can be accomplished if you set aside your fears and simply focus on what needs to be done to reach your goal.

Trust me, I get scared, too, right after I make a big, "Oh my gosh, am I doing this?" decision. But then I breathe.

Then, I pull out a notebook and get to work. And suddenly, with a simple checklist at my fingertips, anything seems possible.

And now, here's THE LATEST...
