How to do ROI reporting the right way with HubSpot, your visitors will soon see your forms aren't secure, and what's happenin' in IMPACT+ ...this is THE LATEST!

🔥 Hot off the presses

📈 "The Fast Start Program was just what we needed. Chris [Marr] coached us through the crucible of that process with plenty of listening and soliciting feedback from all team members. The unity and clarity that brought to our entire company is priceless."

— Glen Kendall, CEO of Concourse Hosting

You know what's not fun? That distinct moment you realize you've been looking at or approaching something (a task, an idea, etc.) the completely wrong way. Or you've been holding onto a thoroughly incorrect notion for a really long time — not days, weeks, or months, mind you. I'm talking about years... or decades.

Like, there you were, minding your own business, considering yourself a little superstar. Then, without warning, reality decides to jump out of a bush and scream at you:

"Surprise! You're an idiot!"

For example, it wasn't until earlier this year that I realized how totally and utterly wrong I was about how I approached content ROI reporting. (I'm much happier now knowing the truth, but there's nothing like discovering you've spent more than five years being a reporting putz. Ugh.)

Then, there was today.

You see, up until about 2:45 p.m. this afternoon, I considered myself a pretty formidable, sassy gal with a boatload of moxie.

And while I'm no fashion plate, at a towering 6 feet tall — with the undeserving sense of "look at me!" that all only children possess — I feel confident in my ability to stand on a stage and command attention with my ideas and thoughts.

Well, until I came across this photo today, while cleaning out some old boxes, of my Great Aunt Persia Dolores and my Granddaddy, "Big Vito"...

Just. Look. At. Them.

The commitment to fashion required to pull off a precisely perched fur hat indoors. The exquisitely draped strand of pearls. The devastating, shared looks of both sophistication and disappointment... with no desire to even acknowledge the camera pointed at them. And, finally, the pièce de résistance... the "sweater vest swagger" only an established, defiant Italian man can possess.

I thought I had it all figured out — such hubris! It's clear to me now that I still have so much to learn.

Sigh, anyway, here's THE LATEST...

🎂 One last thing

Yesterday was a big day, y'all — a holiday even. You see, yesterday, August 28, was IMPACT Community and Events Manager Connor DeLaney's birthday...

connor is old now

In honor of this milestone of one of my absolute favorite humans, I have authored this petty "celebratory" haiku:

My Nats beat the Sox
Yankees have lost seven games
Yikes, that's not good, right? 😜

Happy birthday, Connor!

Have a great weekend!
