THE LATEST: What do sales teams, baseball, and the weather have in common?

There are three things that tell me spring has officially arrived:

  1. It's finally warm outside
  2. Baseball is back
  3. Teams are doing spring cleaning to kick off Q2

Warm weather we can all agree is exactly what the doctor ordered (except for Liz and her wicked Winter ways). Baseball is the fuel I need to get things going and considering I waited 156 days for the Yankees to take the field, I'd say it's about time spring showed up.

Sure, that last one may feel like a bit of a stretch. But is it really? How many of us can say we didn't look around our at-home offices or do a full review of how Q1 went and try to make some improvements?

You'd be in quiet company if you're shaking your head No right now. In any case, part of the spring cleaning I'm talking about also requires some reflection and realization that it may be time to change things up.

Out with the old, in with the new. To put a business-y spin on it, out with the old handshake and a sale and in with fresh new tactics like virtual selling. Because like it or not, virtual selling isn't going anywhere any time soon.

Now's the time to clean out what you used to do and fully embrace what's coming up next.
