I can't compete with Stephanie's poem from yesterday's issue. The last time I put on my poet pantaloons, I wrote a haiku about sliced bananas on cheerios for my pillar content course in IMPACT+...
Fun fact, if you put a seashell to your ear and listen closely, you can hear Walt Whitman through the sands of time shouting, "Keep your day job, Liz."
However, although I am not a poet, I am (as I've shared before) learning Italian. And, earlier this week, I learned a saying that really stuck with me.
"Una bella giornata non fa estate."
"One beautiful day doesn't make a summer."
It's all too easy to look at "one beautiful day" – a single perfect win, a single viral blog article, a single one-call-close deal – and get swept up in the moment, right? To tell yourself that single accomplishment is the sign you've got it all figured out, that the tides have finally turned for good.
But that's not how it works.
You have to embrace those winning best practices and tactics consistently, over time, every day of the week for that to be true. When you address the most pressing questions of your ideal buyers honestly in every piece of content you publish, not just one. When you bring winning virtual selling techniques to every video sales call, not just one.
That's how you achieve those beautiful, endless "summers."
