No, authenticity is NOT a trend.
That's like saying "good customer service" is a trend.
Buyers have always wanted authenticity, just like they've always wanted good customer service.
Hence, it's not a trend.
But here's the reality of it:
Many brands are literally saying in 2022, "I've read 'authenticity' is a big trend in 2022. What can we do to be more authentic?"
Seriously?
The truth is, we shouldn't have to read somewhere that authenticity is a trend in order for us to take action.
It's the right thing to do.
Always has been, always will.
This is exactly why They Ask, You Answer companies keep blazing trails within their industries.
In the messages I get from folks from around the world who are applying the book, I'm told all the time they receive feedback from their customers that sounds like this:
"You guys are so authentic!"
"I LOVE your website!"
"Everything I ever learned about [X], I learned from you!"
But the funny part is most of these TAYA companies are simply thinking, "Thanks…but we're just answering our customers' questions."
Funny how it's always the little things that make the biggest impact.
So the question is: How authentic is YOUR company online?
